You a lot get done in front of a computer when it’s 95 degrees and 100% humidity outside. That blue tan of the Florida geek stands out nicely from the rest of the red-faced (and -necked) population. With close links to Latin America, most of the nations’ back-office staff, and three of top ten largest universities, we’re unique in our ability to think outside of the usual tech-hub startup plot line. So! If you’re a hacker, hipster or hustler and looking to make a splash in the Florida High Tech Corridor, we need you!
Based out of Tampa Bay and descended from the 2011 Miami StartupBus, we started scheming for a bus as soon as we got back from SXSW. Last year the Tampa krew pitched and took MyNewman to the finals; and this year we’re looking forward easily walking our teams into demo day again, with good looks and modesty.
Your conductor for the trip will be Greg Ross-Munro. Greg is a third generation programmer (not many people can say that) and has been coding since he was 8 years old. Greg runs a contract software engineering firm in Tampa and has two current startups including a Tech Stars Network incubated company.
We'll be starting to review applications as soon as possible, and will be letting you know about your status by mid-February.
We're building an entrepreneurial ecosystem through unique experiences and inspirational connections. Our vision is to empower the people that create change in the world and disrupt the status quo.
